Will benefits cover my CPAP?

  • Many private insurance providers or “Third party Extended benefits”  cover CPAP equipment; however, the level of coverage and rules for coverage will depend on your specific insurance policy.
  • Coverage can range from 80%-100%.
  • Most insurance companies will require: CPAP receipt, Valid Doctor’s prescription from a medical doctor and Sleep study results (If first time purchase for CPAP machine).
  • We recommend you contact your insurance provider to find exact coverage for CPAP machines, masks, supplies and frequency. Pre-approval might be required.
  • Questions to ask your insurance provider:
  1. Do I have coverage for a CPAP machine
  2. Does my coverage include masks, hose, filters and other accessories
  3. How often can I replace my CPAP machine, mask, hose and filters
  4. What documents are required for claiming.
